Listen to the 3rd track, The Sheriff. The egg is a logical leap in what you near in the 2nd verse “Them summer nights then she would come …” and the next section “as we lay there…”
It’s silly. Let me know when you get it.

is it something with the forest? is it one of the ones we’re supposed to know, like the one with the Fay?

No, it’s very simple, actually and has nothing to do with anything outside of the story

Last guess, it says they where laying there, and then instantly went to fight the Barnsdale gang. Did he fight them naked? is that the thing? I’m out of ideas 😛

I don’t have any ideas for what the easter egg might be that has’t already been mentioned, but on the topic of “The Sheriff”: The first time I heard the album, I thought that this was one of the weaker tracks (along with “Seduction” and “Dream a Dream”)… but now I think it may be one of my favorites, right up with “Opening”, “Han-Mi’s Plot”, and “Miss Helen”. It seriously seems like a song that you could turn into another entire album with the amount of story it has, both what’s present and what could be expanded upon, and in that form the emotional impact from the deaths of both the werewolf (Caroline?) and Hank’s father would be multiplied a thousandfold, with more backstory and actually having the werewolf with a singing role.
It just really struck me because, while your backstory songs are always great, this is the first one which really made me go… “This could be made into Slenderman-length musical all on its own.” Or a short novel, or something. Just… really fantastic storytelling job.
As for the easter egg… mayhaps we could get a hint? Maybe, are we looking for something in the lyrics or the music?

Huh, yeah. Then I’m pretty well stumped (unless it’s what Jeroen mentioned above).

“As we lay there naked, smiling, curled, her furry ears picked up, she heard…”

I guess one potential “logical leap” would be her recognizing it as being specifically the Barnsdale gang from such a distance, but that doesn’t seem very “easter egg”-y to me. I’m really bad at this kind of stuff.

Is it the fact that there wasn’t any trouble going on at the house?

Was she in wolf form while they were having relations?

From some of the descriptions, I assumed that she was in a hybrid form most of the time they knew each other. But that’s just speculation on my part.
