Listen To The (Demo Version of the) First Two Songs From The Slender Man Opera

20 Apr

They still need more work, but here are the demos for the first two vocal songs of The Slender Man Opera.

Amongst the things that aren’t set are the vocals. The 1st track The Abbey will feature singer Jen Folden and will sound way better than my scratch vocals. The other song, which is more of a proper length is a complicated song to mix and will need some bits worked on, but you’ll get the idea.

Act 1, Scene 2 is so beautiful and Act 1, Scene 3 is so understanding to a story about a couple of adults having fun and playing a game. I also remembered that Marble Hornets is also going to be an official film with Doug Jones as the Operator himself. Just a heads up, though.

These are really fucking cool. Are you going to be doing the final vocals on A1S3?

Also, who are all the people with speaking lines on A1 S3?

So glad to hear that this project is coming along even in the midst of all the… er… excitement you’ve had over these last few months. Will hold off on listening until the whole thing’s done (my personal policy for albums I know will be good anyway), but then I’ll be sure to come back and hear these. Best of luck in your current and future endeavours.

Awww, man, I was worried that this would be too tense for me to listen to, but it’s looking like you’re bringing your humour to an otherwise dark universe!

    Also, poor James.
